مكتبه PowerPoint Presentations مصدر الموضوع الاصلي: مكتبه PowerPoint Presentations Chocolate history According to Toltec and Aztec myth, the feathered serpent god Quetzalcoatl first brought the cocoa seeds down from heaven and taught humans how to grow cocoa trees. The Aztec drank it on ceremonial occasions calling it cacahuatl -- foam water -- they mixed it with grounded hot peppers and poured the thick drink from one vessel to another till it foamed. Aristocratic couples would share a drink during their marriage ceremony. The difficult-to-grow cocoa beans were so prized they were used as currency, like gold was in Europe.
The birth of the chocolate bar In 1674, people started eating chocolate in stick solid form but mass production was not possible. A small group of Quakers took over chocolate production in the nineteenth century England. They saw chocolate as a healthy non-alcoholic drink and food for the lower classes. Fry and Sons mass-produced eating, solid chocolate bars in 1847. Since the American Civil War, chocolate has feed armies. Hershey's supplied the American army with chocolate bars as part of their rations. The bars provided soldiers with fast, portable energy.
Chocolate facts and fun
The cocoa tree can grow only 20 degrees above and below the equator, in semi-darkness at a 1,300- to 2,300-foot altitude.
The Mayan peasants revolted against a cocoa tax levy. This may have been one of the contributing factors that lead to the downfall of that civilization.
Under the advice of their government, Swiss chocolate manufacturers store a year's stash of raw material in secret locations in the Alps.
You should store chocolate in a dry cool place.
Avoid using sweet chocolate in cooking, as it won't give enough of a chocolate taste.
Manufacturers make white chocolate from cocoa butter, rather than the beans. Therefore it is not, technically speaking, chocolate

Definition: 1. smooth sweet brown food: a food or flavoring, typically a smooth sweet brown solid, made from roasted and ground cacao seeds usually sweetened and mixed with cocoa butter and dried milk. Chocolate is made into bars or candy, or used to flavor other foods, especially cakes, desserts, sauces, and cookies. ( often used before a noun )
Kinds of Chocolate Not all chocolate or cocoa is the same, especially when preparing recipes. Ever wonder what the difference is between one kind of chocolate and another?
Chocolate Liquor This is the pure, straight-from-the-bean chocolate. The center of the cocoa bean is ground into a liquid, called the liquor (there is NO alcohol in this!).
Cocoa Butter It's not really a butter, but the fat extracted from the chocolate liquor.
Cocoa Powder Cocoa powder is the solid left after the cocoa butter is pressed out of the liquor. Cocoa powder often undergoes a Dutch Process, that reduces its natural acidity. Dutch cocoa is milder tasting and blends better with milk.
Unsweetened Chocolate This is the solid form of chocolate liquor. Unsweetened chocolate is often used in baking.
Bittersweet Chocolate Chocolate with a minimum of 50% chocolate liquor.
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chocolate with a minimum of 35% chocolate liquor.
Dark Chocolate Also known as 'sweet chocolate'. It only contains 15% liquor, as well as sweeteners and cocoa butter.
Milk Chocolate Milk chocolate has at least 10% liquor and 12% milk solids. Sugar, cocoa butter and vanilla are also mixed in.
White Chocolate This kind lacks the brown color because there are no cocoa solids. White chocolate is made up of only cocoa butter, sugar and milk solids.

موضــــــــــوع عن المــــــــــوضه
Fashion is the style and custom prevalent at a given time. In its most common usage however, "fashion" describes the popular clothing style. Many fashions are popular in many cultures at any given time. Important is the idea that the course of design and fashion will change more rapidly than the culture as a whole. Fashion designers create and produce clothing articles.
The terms "fashionable" and "unfashionable" were employed to describe whether someone or something fits in with the current or even not so current, popular mode of expression. However, more so in the modern era items termed 'not so current' may indeed fit into the term 'Retro.' Retro fashion allows rule shifts, such as 'old is suddenly new,' thus fashionable. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour, beauty and style[citation needed]. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness. The term "fashion" is also sometimes used in a negative sense, as a synonym for fads and trends, and materialism.
There exist a number of cities recognized as global fashion centers or fashion capitals. Fashion Weeks are held in these cities where designers exhibit their new clothing collections to audiences. The main 6 cities are Dubai . Tokyo, London, Paris, Milan and New York - these 6 are renowned for their major influence on global fashion
ashions may vary considerably within a society according to age, social class, generation, occupation, and geography as well as over time. If, for example, an older person dresses according to the fashion of young people, he or she may look ridiculous in the eyes of both young and older people. The terms fashionista or fashion victim refer to someone who slavishly follows the current fashions.
One can regard the system of sporting various fashions as a fashion language incorporating various fashion statements using a grammar of fashion. (Compare some of the work of Roland Barthes.)

مكتبه PowerPoint Presentations مصدر الموضوع الاصلي: مكتبه PowerPoint Presentations هذا برزنتيشن عن الورود A flower, sometimes known as a bloom or blossom, is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Magnoliophyta, also called angiosperms). The biological function of a flower is to mediate the union of male sperm with female ovum in order to produce seeds. The process begins with pollination, is followed by fertilization, leading to the formation and dispersal of the seeds. For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. The grouping of flowers on a plant is called the inflorescence.
In addition to serving as the reproductive organs of flowering plants, flowers have long been admired and used by humans, mainly to beautify their environment but also as a source of food.
In modern times, people have sought ways to cultivate, buy, wear, or otherwise be around flowers and blooming plants, partly because of their agreeable appearance and smell. Around the world, people use flowers for a wide range of events and functions that, cumulatively, encompass one's lifetime:
* For new births or Christenings * As a corsage or boutonniere to be worn at social functions or for holidays * As tokens of love or esteem * For wedding flowers for the bridal party, and decorations for the hall * As brightening decorations within the home * As a gift of remembrance for bon voyage parties, welcome home parties, and "thinking of you" gifts * For funeral flowers and expressions of sympathy for the grieving * For worshiping goddesses. in Hindu culture it is very common to bring flowers as a gift to temples.
People therefore grow flowers around their homes, dedicate entire parts of their living space to flower gardens, pick wildflowers, or buy flowers from florists who depend on an entire network of commercial growers and shippers to support their trade.
Flowers provide less food than other major plants parts (seeds, fruits, roots, stems and leaves) but they provide several important foods and spices. Flower vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower and artichoke. The most expensive spice, saffron, consists of dried stigmas of a crocus. Other flower spices are cloves and capers. Hops flowers are used to flavor beer. Marigold flowers are fed to chickens to give their egg yolks a golden yellow color, which consumers find more desirable. Dandelion flowers are often made into wine. Bee Pollen, pollen collected from bees, is considered a health food by some people. Honey consists of bee-processed flower nectar and is often named for the type of flower, e.g. orange blossom honey, clover honey and tupelo honey.
Hundreds of fresh flowers are edible but few are widely marketed as food. They are often used to add color and flavor to salads. Squash flowers are dipped in breadcrumbs and fried. Edible flowers include nasturtium, chrysanthemum, carnation, cattail, honeysuckle, chicory, cornflower, Canna, and sunflower. Some edible flowers are sometimes candied such as daisy and rose (you may also come across a candied pansy).
Flowers can also be made into herbal teas. Dried flowers such as chrysanthemum, rose, jasmine, camomile are infused into tea both for their fragrance and medical properties. Sometimes, they are also mixed with tea leaves for the added fragrance. وهذا عرض للورود http://www.4shared.com/file/18911668.../A_flower.html
