Metro 2033 - The World in ruins. Humanity is on the verge of extinction.
Due to the high levels of radiation, living on the Earth's surface is
impossible. Rumor has it that the half-ruined town extends scorched
plains and forests mutants. But the remaining people still remember
about the past greatness of human civilization. Memoirs gradually
turning into a legend ...

Twenty years have elapsed from the time when the latter broke away from
the Earth plane. Touched rust railroads lead to nowhere. Airwaves
frighteningly empty. Radiomen hear only the sad wailing, a million times
tuning in frequencies on which once prophesied New York, Paris, Tokyo
and Buenos Aires. It would seem, has only been twenty years since this
happened. But the man has lost his "place in the sun" new forms of life.
Mutants creation generated by radiation, were better adapted to life on
the surface.
